Facilitated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emeraldnecklace.org\">Emerald Necklace Conservancy<\/a> and coordinated by Gabrielle Stebbins, Brookline Park Ranger, about 200 shrubs were planted. Varieties included <a href=\"http:\/\/plants.usda.gov\/java\/profile?symbol=DAFRF\">Potentilla (Shrubby cinquefoil)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/plants.usda.gov\/java\/profile?symbol=HYQU3\">Oakleaf Hydrangea<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/plants.usda.gov\/java\/profile?symbol=CLAL3\">Clethra (Summersweet)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/plants.usda.gov\/java\/profile?symbol=SYAL\">Snowberry<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/plants.usda.gov\/java\/profile?symbol=VIAC\">Viburnum<\/a>. Beds were weeded, tilled, planted and fertilized.
