Work has started at the beginning of March 2006 on the restoration of Olmsted’s Babbling Brook.
The brook is east of Harry Downes Field and flows from Willow Pond to Leverett Pond.
The project will open up the stream, remove volunteer shrubs, and restore the “babble”.
It’s funded with about $300,000 of federal
CDBG funds.
